Bluebird Candy Company

75 W Center St, Logan, UT 84321 – (435) 753-3670

Bluebird Candy is a Cache Valley icon — one of Utah’s oldest continuously operating confectioners. Every batch of chocolate is still hand-dipped using original recipes passed down through generations. Locals associate the smell of the downtown shop with holidays, weddings, and family traditions.

Founded in 1914, Bluebird Candy Company has been a cherished part of Cache Valley’s story for more than a century. The company began when local entrepreneur Guy C. Richards opened a small candy shop on Logan’s Center Street, naming it Bluebird as a symbol of happiness, good fortune, and cheerful optimism—values he wanted reflected in every box of handmade chocolates.

Through two world wars, the Great Depression, and countless local celebrations, Bluebird has remained a fixture of community life—hand-dipping each chocolate using original copper kettles and time-honored recipes. Generations of Utahns have grown up visiting the shop, gifting its signature blue boxes for weddings, holidays, and milestones.

Today, Bluebird Candy continues its proud tradition from its original Logan location, still crafting every piece by hand and serving as a sweet reminder of hometown craftsmanship and continuity.
